The Jalapão offers a unique variety of ecosystems: in a few minutes, we pass from 40 meters high sand dunes to plains covered with a vegetation typical of the cerrado.
Caves, rivers and crystal clear springs complete the setting. An immense playground, from where man is practically absent, but sheltering an abundant wildlife.
The Jalapão is unfortunately difficult to access (plan 3 to 4 days by 4WD from Palmas, the capital of the Tocantins).
